Special Education Teacher

We are seeking a Special Education Teacher in Gilbert, AZ to provide specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs. The teacher will collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and school personnel to help students achieve their academic and developmental goals.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
- Implement accommodations and modifications outlined in students’ IEPs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school staff.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning and progress monitoring.
- Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and other members of the educational team.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Support students in developing academic, social, and functional skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid Arizona Special Education teaching certification or appropriate state credential.
- Previous experience working with students with diverse learning needs in a school setting.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies.
- Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, and modifications.
- Commitment to supporting student growth, inclusion, and academic success.
Compensation: $43.00 - $47.00 per hour
