Position: Full-Time

We are looking for a Certified Special Education Teacher in Bridgeport, CT to create a supportive learning environment and help students build academic, behavioral, and social skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lessons based on student needs and IEPs.
- Provide academic and behavioral support throughout the school day.
- Track student performance and adjust instruction as needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning.
- Coordinate with teachers, counselors, and related service providers.
- Maintain student records and progress reports.
- Build positive relationships with students and encourage their independence.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field.
- Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience developing or implementing IEPs preferred.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and student-centered learning environment.
Compensation: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
